"Extreme fitness Boot Camp has given me a new way to look at my fitness regimen. It provides me with challenging drills that push me to work to my fullest potential. No two classes are the same-
Joe really mixes it up
to prevent boredom! The group atmosphere presents a fun, competitive experience, and it is a great way to meet new people.
I have incorporated Extreme fitness Boot Camp into my exercise program for better results than just working out on my own."

"Before my first Extreme fitness Boot Camp, I hated cardio. It was boring, sweaty and repetitive. I was never able to push myself consistently to see how much I could improve because it was so BORING. Give me weightlifting any day, just don't make me run. After my first complete session, I am addicted to cardio, and to this class. I get depressed when I have to miss a day. Joe makes the classes fun, interesting and extremely relevant- the muscles he has us work are ones that you use every day for a million things at work and at home. I feel stronger every week. My cardio endurance has dramatically increased in just one month and I'm actually thinking of training for a competitive run. I would never, ever have considered that before attending Extreme fitness Boot Camp."

“Joe’s workouts are challenging and creative. He pushes us to do things we never would do on our own. Just when you think you know what to expect he mixes it up. There are people with varying fitness levels, but Joe always manages to give everyone a great workout. I feel great after his workouts and have tons of energy. The lost pounds and inches,
I owe to Joe.”

"Before I started Extreme fitness Boot Camp, I could not find a workout that I liked and I would stick with. Being physically fit is important for my job. Now I have a workout that has variety and keeps me interested. I feel so much better physically and mentally. Joe pushes me to do things that I would never do on my own and he makes it fun. I work out with some great people and look forward to every session. I haven't missed a single class. Thanks for the great workouts Joe."

"Thanks to you and this class- I did something I would have never dreamed of six months ago- I ran a 5K. I ran along with a friend and finished in 35 minutes. Not exactly world class speed, but considering six months ago I had never run in my entire life it was a big accomplishment. Thanks for all your motivation."

2. What time does boot camp start?
All boot camp classes start PROMPTLY at the scheduled times. A timley start ensures a full, action packed, sixty minutes. We do not wait for stragglers. If you arrive after the warm up you will not be allowed to participate in class. This rule is strictly enforced as it is in your best interest to complete a dynamic warm up prior to a strenuous workout. If you are attending boot camp for the first time, please arrive 15 minutes early for review of paperwork and a short introduction to boot camp. If you are new to a "boot camp" style group fitness environment, I highly recommend you enlist in one of my "Boot Camp Basic Training" 4 day sessions.

3. What is my investment to be as fit as I can be?
Each session is four weeks in length. For the summer program, 4-week session, attending camp 3 days a week is $183 (12 classes). You have the option of adding a fourth day of boot camp by attending 3 Saturday classes for an additional $45....for a total of 15 classes for each session. For the best results I highly recommend attending boot camp 4 days per week. (To reserve your spot all required forms with payment MUST be received 7 days prior to the start of the session.)

Back to FAQs

4. Do I have to attend class 4 days a week?
Pertaining to the summer program, no, you do not have to attend class 4 days a week. You have the option of attending 3 days per week (12 classes) for $183. For best results, it is highly recommended you make the ultimate commitment and attend 15 classes per session- 12 weekday classes and all 3 Saturday classes. If you wish to attend less than 12 classes in a session, you will be required to pay the single class rate of $15 per class for veterans or $17 per class for new recruits.

5. Are discounts offered for re-enlisting in a second or third session?
Good question as 90% of campers return to attend two or more sessions. Complete one session and receive $10 off your second and subsequent sessions.

Back to FAQs

6. Where do Boot Camp classes take place?
During the summer program (May through October), morning classes take place at Griffin Park in Windham, NH. All “obstacles” in the park will be utilized; benches, track, grass field, and basketball court. Afternoon classes are conducted at the Golden Brook School. During the winter program (November through April), morning classes take place at the Center School (gymnasium) in Windham, NH. In the event school is CLOSED due to inclement weather boot camp will be canceled and a make-up day will be scheduled.

7. Should I talk to my doctor before attending Boot Camp?
Please review and answer all the questions on the Physical Activity Readiness Questionaire (PAR-Q). If you answered “YES” on two or more questions you will need a medical clearance from your doctor before attending. All required forms; Health History, PAR-Q, and Waiver are to be completed prior to participating in boot camp. I do recommend all participants have a moderate strength and cardiovascular base developed prior to attending Extreme fitness Boot Camp....Ask yourself if you can comfortably jog one mile.

Back to FAQs

8. What should I bring to Boot Camp?
In addition to lots of energy I recommended you bring a container of cool water or sports drink (i.e. Gaterade or Powerade). Also a towel and a mat such as a yoga mat for core conditioning. I provide all other equipment you will need. I highly recommend you consume a small carbohydrate snack within one hour prior to class. Some suggestions would be a slice of toast with peanut butter, a half a bagel with low fat cream cheese or 1 cup of your favorite cereal with skim milk. Please avoid coming to class on an empty stomach.

9. What should I wear to Boot Camp?
It is best to wear loose, comfortable clothing to facilitate ease of movement and a good pair of athletic footwear. For the summer program, in which camp is conducted outdoors, you may also want to dress in accordance with the weather conditions for the day. I recommended you bring a dry shirt to change into after class. Class is held rain or shine. In case of severe weather conditions and the class is canceled, a make-up day will be scheduled during the same session. During the winter program in which we will encounter rain, sleet and snow, I recommended you bring a pair of "indoor" athlete shoes. Boot camp will be canceled if school is CLOSED due to inclement weather.

Back to FAQs

10. What type of exercises will I be doing?
You will do it all! You will be challenged to run, sprint, jog, skip rope, and do lots of push-ups. You will also do speed and agility drills, medicine ball drills, partner drills, plyometrics (jump training), relay drills and run obstacle courses. Also included are resistance training, old style calisthenics and core conditioning…Whatever it takes to distract you from the fact you are getting an awesome workout while having fun at the same time. You will burn between 350 to 450 calories in each class.

11. What if I don’t like to run?
Running and sprinting drills are included each day. For all the drills and exercises, I highly encourage you to perform at a pace that is comfortable for you. The main idea is that you keep moving and challenge yourself to your ability. This means you can walk, fast walk or jog anytime you need to. I welcome all fitness levels with the goal of your success in mind.

Back to FAQs

12. Will I be sore after class?
If you have not been participating in a consistent exercise program for the last 30 days you will experience minor soreness after your first two or three days at boot camp. This is normal and as you become more fit, the soreness goes away and you will feel awesome. Your body is now ready for bigger and better things.

13. What type of results can I expect?
It all depends on how many classes you attend and your level of effort. In other words, results will vary depending on what you put into it. Improvements in performance are quick- within 1 or 2 weeks. Attending 12 to 16 classes will result in the greatest improvements in strength, power and cardiovascular endurance. Improvements in appearance take a bit longer. Remember, everyone is different, but attending boot camp - giving it 110% effort - combined with proper diet and nutrition you can expect a 2 to 4 percent reduction on body fat, 3 to 5 pound weight loss and 1 to 2 inch decrease in your waistline. Oops!...Sorry, I need to let you know that just by attending boot camp- it is not a free "eat anything" pass. If one of your goals is weight management, proper nutrition combined with boot camp plays a crucial role.

Back to FAQs

14. How many people in each class?
Each class usually has between 10 to 18 recruits. Winter sessions in which classes are conducted indoors is limited to 14 recruits and the summer sessions are limited to 18 recruits per class. Everyone is encouraged to go at their own pace and we all train as a team in a non-competitive, non-intimidating environment. When performing partner drills and exercises individuals are paired up based on fitness level.

15. Do I need to be (already) fit?
No, but you need to have the desire and commitment to improve your fitness. The goal of Boot Camp is to make you realize your own potential. Extreme fitness Boot Camp is designed for individuals of all fitness levels, males and females from teens on up. If you haven't exercised in 6 to 12 months, I recommend you perform all exercises at a comfortable pace and gradually build up your strenth and endurance. Remember, you are not here to compete with anyone else. Many campers with 3 to 6 sessions under their belt were in your shoes at one time.

Back to FAQs

16. What if I can’t keep up?
First rule of Boot Camp- NEVER say, “I can’t!” The class is for individuals of all fitness levels. If an exercise or drill is a little difficult, I encourage you to do YOUR BEST. You are not in boot camp to "keep up" with anyone else. See question #15.

17. As a new recruit, I'm really excited and I want to get started immediately, do I need to wait for the start of the next session to enlist?
No…You do not need to wait. You can enlist in a session at any time. Your fee will be prorated according to the number of classes remaining in the session based on $17 per class. Remember, all required forms need to be completed and payment must be made at least seven days prior to the start of the session (for ALL boot camp programs).

Back to FAQs

18. I want to enlist in a session, but I will miss some classes. Can I still enlist?
Yes…You can still enlist. If you have a vacation planned or a work commitment please let me know PRIOR to the start of the session and your fee will be adjusted accordingly based on $15 per class for veterans and $17 per class for new recruits. Once the session has started refunds are not given for missed classes.

19. Do I get a refund for missed classes?
No...cash refunds are not awarded for missed classes, and missed classes do not "roll-over" to another session. This is non-negotiable. If you miss a scheduled class/classes due to circumstances beyond your control; injury, illness or work commitment, you will get credit towards future boot camp classes. It is all about accountability and results at Extreme fitness Boot Camp. You made a commitment and took the first step- probably the hardest. Now all you have to do is stick with it...NO EXCUSES!...just show up and I'll do the rest.
